The Sleeping Lady Resort in Leavenworth, Washington was the spectacular venue for Sarah & Virtaj's weekend mountain wedding! It was my first time working there (and hopefully not the last) and it was an amazing weekend affair. It started with a rehearsal dinner followed by dancing and henna artists decorating all the guests - including me!
The wedding day could not have been more beautiful. The weather was perfect and after Sarah and Virtaj saw each other's first look, we spent some time taking photos by the Icicle River! Then the groom started off the festivities by entering on the traditional white horse and the family all greeted each other with flower necklaces and big hugs!
After the ceremony, guests were treated to dinner and toasts and a performance by Apna Bhangra Crew as well as some dance lessons! Everyone was on the dance floor!
Important note: each guest was treated to personalized jars of homemade jam to take home. Raspberries were harvested by the bride and groom and the bride's family and the jam was processed in the mother-of-the-bride's kitchen under the direction of family friend Lori Maul!
It was an honor to be on the team. And if you are looking for a mountain venue, look no further! The accommodations were amazing!

Of course we all want to lower our impact on the environment and work to lower our carbon footprint. Working digitally allows us to eliminate the thousands of gallons of developer and other chemicals used in the developing and printing processes. Camera batteries are all rechargeable as are the batteries and battery packs we use in our lighting equipment meaning we do not have to fill landfills with toxic batteries each week. We recycle as much as we can and try to work with local vendors and small businesses. We also offer images on CD to cut down on paper usage. Hey - I even bike to work when I can! Every little bit helps.
I am adding a list of vendors that provide eco-friendly services. Please email me if you know of a vendor that could be added!
